Description of Role:
A Business Analyst who has experience working in the infrastructure space (preferably with financials) and comes with strong network engineering experience (CCNA at least) as the role requires working on technical integration elements and risk remediation activities (providing technical proofs - resource models, comparison/drift reports etc).
The Network Systems and Tools project is delivering an authoritative network inventory capability. The aim is to replace fragmented asset information and processes with a cohesive solution that provides reliable visibility of network assets, their relationships, services, domains and accountable owners.
The project combines service design, network infrastructure engineering and software engineering. The team will define requirements, establish the inventory platform, create structured network data models, integrate priority data sources and introduce automated discovery, synchronisation and reconciliation. The final capability must be secure, resilient, measurable and ready for ongoing operation.

• A clear inventory strategy and agreed target operating model.
• Consolidated requirements covering network domains, compliance, reporting, ownership and data quality.
• Current-state and gap assessments across sources such as NAC, IDS, Firewall, DNS, IPAM and Wireless.
• A production-ready inventory platform with access controls, logging, monitoring, resilience, backup and recovery.
• Automated ingestion and synchronisation of data from priority network sources.
• Reconciliation processes, exception handling, audit trails and data-quality controls.
• Integration with enterprise service and configuration records to provide asset-to-owner traceability.
• Dashboards and reporting for inventory coverage, completeness, health, control effectiveness and risk.
• Operational procedures, runbooks, support-readiness evidence and handover into business-as-usual support.

Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will help connect business, service, architecture and engineering stakeholders. The role will focus on making requirements clear, traceable and testable, and ensuring that delivery decisions remain aligned with the intended inventory outcomes.
Key activities are expected to include:
• Identify stakeholders, organise workshops and capture business, operational, reporting and control requirements.
• Document the current state, including data sources, processes, ownership, pain points, dependencies and gaps.
• Translate stakeholder needs into prioritised requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery backlog items.
• Define and maintain traceability between requirements, designs, engineering outputs, tests and agreed outcomes.
• Support definition of inventory data-quality rules, ownership models, reconciliation processes and exception workflows.
• Clarify reporting needs, KPIs and measures for coverage, completeness, accuracy and control effectiveness.
• Maintain decisions, assumptions, risks, issues and dependencies, escalating areas that need stakeholder agreement.
• Coordinate requirement validation, milestone reviews, acceptance evidence and readiness for operational handover.

Required Skills:
• 5 + years solid Business Analysis experience in an enterprise/corporate high availability, ideally financial services environment.
• Networking background: CCNA level +
