UCaaS Platform Engineer: ideally with commercial BroadWorks/ Broadsoft experience is required for our client a leading Service Provider. We are recruiting for a UCaaS Platform Engineer with experience of supporting a Hosted PBX solution; preferably BroadWorks/Broadsoft at a Carrier/Service Provider level in a 2nd line support capacity. Some 3rd line support experience is useful but not essential, with the ability to build and operating large, unified communications platforms. SIP experience is .
Equally, we are also interested in candidates with some UC experience with a thirst for knowledge and a ‘can do’ mindset who are ambitious to progress their career in this exciting technical area.

This is a hands-on engineering position supporting the monitoring, maintaining and operational support for the Core Network of the company’s Unified Comms Service.
This role will involve primarily the Incident & Change Management of the company’s Unified Comms Service, detailing and implementing changes.
This will involve working with the company’s internal engineering teams and 3rd party vendors and carriers. The role will also involve the support of software upgrades and full regression testing of major patch and software upgrades.
As part of the role, there will also be an opportunity to own and lead on internal projects to allow for further development of your skills.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a UC Engineer who has ideally worked with Cisco BroadWorks/Broadsoft working at 2nd line support level and ideally with some 3rd line support experience and who can communicate at both a technical and management level through telephone calls, meetings and email. The candidate will have worked in a similar technical environment and will be familiar with Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.

• You’ll have previous experience of supporting a Hosted PBX solution (preferably BroadWorks/Broadsoft) at a carrier level.
• You will have previous experience in a similar technical environment and will be familiar with incident, problem and change management processes.
• You’ll have previous experience building and operating large, unified communications platforms
• You’ll have previous experience of technical support for Cisco, Polycom or Yealink devices for example
• You’ll have experience with underlying voice protocols such as SIP, RTP/SRTP, WebRTC and ICE/STUN/TURN for example
• Knowledge and experience of Automation tools such as Salt, Jenkins or Python for example
• You’ll ideally have a degree level qualification within a technical/IT discipline and further vendor qualifications where relevant.
