UCaaS Operations Engineer
Location: Home-base/flexible working.
We are recruiting for a UCaaS Operations Engineer with 3rd line UCaaS support experience of supporting Open Source Voice Technology (Kamailio / FreeSwitch / WebRTC/RTP Engine).
Provide technical support on UCaaS / Networking projects, with experience of Underlying voice protocols i.e. SIP, RTP/SRTP, WebRTC, ICE/TURN/STUN, this is an extremely exciting opportunity where you will be working in a broad and technically challenging role. Experience and of equal importance attitude, experience, flexibility and thirst for knowledge. Also willing to consider candidates who might not have all the required technical skills but who can grow into the role.
Purpose of role:
•Reporting to the UCaaS Ops Engineer Technical Lead, this is a hands-on engineering position to support, monitor, and maintain operational support for the Core Network of the company’s Unified Comms Service.
•As the UCaaS Ops Engineer you will be expected to support the development and implementation of new products and services relating to the company’s Unified Communications platform.
•You will be embedded into the DevOps structure and provide support and guidance to the other members of the team. In addition, you will work with the Engineering and Development teams to transition new operational processes into the wider team.
•Monitor/Respond to incidents across the company’s Unified Communications Service.
•Provide technical support to internal DevOps teams to deliver complex projects.
•Perform and or coordinate root cause analysis for production errors.
•Design and implement procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance.
•Provide technical support on UCaaS / Networking projects both inside and outside of the team.
•Perform & support planned complex configuration changes when required across various components of the company’s Unified Communications Service.
•Identify where Automation Frameworks are required and implement (or act as support for the team to implement) accordingly.
•Provide support to other UCaaS Ops Engineers & UCaaS Platform Engineers on Upgrade projects.
•Work with Support, Engineering and Development teams to ensure all current & future Application & Services are monitored with alerts.
•Experience of supporting Open Source Voice Technology (Kamailio / FreeSwitch / WebRTC/RTP Engine).
•Experience of supporting Open Source Web Servers eg NGINX.
•UCaaS Integration & Development experience.
•Underlying voice protocols i.e. SIP, RTP/SRTP, WebRTC, ICE/TURN/STUN experience.
•Linux and Windows Administration experience.
•Virtualization technologies experience.
•Experience of project-based environments.
•Mobile Application support experience.
•Call Recording (SIPREC) experience.
•Ability to write and develop scripts – Bash, Python, Node.js etc.
•Knowledge of relational / non-relational databases.
