Technical Writer/Author, Home-based/City of London

Technical Writer/Author required for our consultancy practice at FTS. You will be working for financial services customer on a project to create an automated service account process in an enterprise scale environment.
Interested contractors will need to have the following skills and experience:
Essential experience:

• 2 years + demonstrable commercial experience as a Technical Writer/Author
• Worked on a project where they were either the main writer or contributed heavily on the documentation of a particular software.
• MS Visio experience
• Experience working in an IT environment (Infrastructure/DevOps)
• Basic understanding of Automation and API’s
• Windows Server Experience
• Basic Active Directory Knowledge (Adding/Removing/Updating and the different Account Attributes)
Nice to have’s
• PowerShell Knowledge
• Understanding of the basic web stack (HTML, CSS, JS(React))
• MVC design pattern knowledge
• Basic programming knowledge (variables, arrays, objects, loops and conditionals)
• Basic understanding of the difference between frontend/backend development (Full Stack)
Day Charge rate: Competitive
Contract length: 5 months +.
