We are recruiting for a Software Development Leader /Technical Product Manager/Software Development Manager with significant commercial experience of building and leading Software Development and DevOps teams and technology wise, JavaScript and Node.js in an AWS Agile environment. Our client is brand leader in telecoms with a reputation for a customer centric approach and happy ‘can do’ employees. They are industry innovators who are driving digital transformation in communications and there is constant pipeline of challenging software development projects to be delivered in tight time lines.

Skills required:
• A proven track record in building and running development and operations teams (ideally cross functional DevOps teams).
• Experience of managing delivery teams across 3rd party suppliers.
• A strong software development background.
• Practical experience of developing complex systems using JavaScript and Node.js in the AWS environment.
• Experience of Agile product development.
• A strong appreciation for the fundamentals of DevOps.
• Practical experience of the application of Continuous Improvement in a Learning Organisation coupled with practical experience of technology / tool selection.
• Practical experience in the development and/or adoption of working processes and procedures and experience of working within a programme of Digital Transformation.
• Knowledge of OSS and BSS domains.
• Practical experience in the application of Security by Design.
• Practical experience in the Operation and Support roles.
• Some Scrum Master or Agile coaching experience.

Personal Characteristics and Experience:
• Extensive Software Product Development experience.
• BSc/BEng in science/engineering or similar.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Strong customer focus and awareness, someone committed to quality.
• Good oral, written and presentation skills, with ability to organise and present technical material in an audience adapted easily understood manner/in layman terms where required.
• Able to work with efficiency whilst maintaining accuracy when working to tight deadlines.
• Ability to break down complexity and make things simple.
• Excellent knowledge of technical, product and market developments.
• Self-Starter with an ability to work on own initiative.
• Determination to reach an end goal and work through challenges.
• Dynamic and achievement orientated team player.
• Open & approachable with a professional & proactive approach.
