Senior Business Systems Analyst, hybrid working: Northamptonshire and home-based
Our client is a specialist supplier of software products and development services. We are recruiting for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to work as a key part of their Software Development team to design and support bespoke software products for their clients. Technical environment: Oracle, SQL, APEX or UNIX.
The Role
The role will cover a full scope of software development activities including requirements gathering, system design (front end user interface work and backend database/process work), testing and customer support, enabling you to take personal responsibility for most of the lifecycle tasks from concept to fully formed product using both waterfall and agile methodologies. In addition, you will also provide support and direction to less experienced members of the team. They also expect the Senior Business System Analyst to enhance their skills and you will be encouraged and supported to continue with your own professional development.

Skills Required
• The essential skills and drivers you will need to be successful in this role include:
• An ability to influence leadership, peers and other internal and external stakeholder groups.
• An ability to analyse business ideas and convert them to clear systems requirements.
• An appetite to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences, including producing clear and concise documentation.
• Degree educated (ideally in a STEM subject) with a minimum of 10 years commercial experience of software development, and with at least 3 years’ experience working in a company focused on software development.
• Exposure to both front-end and relational database design including the use of SQL on UNIX/Linux would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Experience of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Type of position: Permanent
Location: Northamptonshire. This is a hybrid role (home and office based), and the successful candidate will be required to work in the office two days a week.
Salary package: Up to £70,000 + 10% bonus (discretionary, by directors) + pension (non- contributary: minimum 9%) + other benefits
