Programme Manager Digital Services - Abu Dhabi

We are looking for an Abu Dhabi/Singapore based Programme Manager for the Digital Services division of our US based client, a technology-based consulting company in the energy and chemical industries. They have over 40 years’ experience in their business and have evolved into a leading digital transformation company. They bring a unique blend of digital technologies with a differentiated technical and management consulting capability. Their digital transformation solutions comprise leading software, expert services and best practices, powered by the cloud, to ensure process operations achieve transformational outcomes, resulting in streamlined business processes and increased profits.
This is a pivotal role for our client as it is the first time they are recruiting at such a senior level outside the US. The need for the role has arisen as they need to support their clients around the globe.
The ideal person will be capable of working autonomously and will report directly to the Head of Digital Services Delivery in Houston. They will manage a team and work closely with a variety of departments especially Business Development. They will need to have experience with OSIsoft’s PI System or experience with similar industry/plant systems.
The focus for this position is Oil and Gas upstream, however candidates with the right skills but with experience in other industries will also be considered.
The primary driver of this role is to drive through key projects and to also drive the sales process.

Main Aspects of Job:
•Serve as Program/Project Manager for multiple concurrent projects. Strategize and maintain program activities that adhere to the objectives of our client and their business partners/clients.
•Develop program/project process assessment protocols for delivery, evaluation, and improvements
•Maintain KBC standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
•Manage project budget and delivery channels for maximum productivity
•Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring project/program goals are realised
•Support sales activities as needed
•Coordinate with multiple customer Business Units (BU) on site or remote to create value-add solutions with Aveva / OSIsoft PI technologies.
oManage project resources, including: team and individual communication, overall team and individual resource performance management as it relates to the project.
•Maintain project financials and client billing
oSupport Finance in completion and resolution of customer invoices
oForecast monthly resource allocations for assigned projects
oMonitor and Manage projects spend as compared to budget
oMonitor and approve billable and non-billable expenses

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
•Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
•Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders. Solves problems and implements solutions using personal advanced expertise
•Understands, applies, and develops best practices related to technical solutions and project management
•Approves user requirements and final designs
•Implements processes, skills and other mechanisms to improve policies and procedures
•Negotiates commercial aspects of projects
•Strong client relations skills, particularly at high levels of client’s organization
•Ability to manage projects or programs using range of methodologies from waterfall to agile and hybrids in-between
•Strong leadership, time management, facilitation and organizational skills
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
•Track record building and delivering complex systems with multiple technical contributors and business stakeholders; experience with Aveva OSIsoft PI or similar technology a plus
•Focus on defining and delivering solutions and the value realized
•Understanding of project accounting
•Ability to supervise junior and senior resources
•Ability to communicate directly with customer about complex technical issues, difficult project situations.
