Principal Consultant Workplace/EUC

Our client is looking for a Principal consultant to join their Workplace Platforms/EUC team. As a senior team member, the Principal Consultant will have responsibility for providing technical leadership to the team and providing guidance to internal and external customers in defining complex technical strategies with leading edge technologies.
This is a predominately client facing role and you need proven skills in a customer facing position, designing and implementing Microsoft desktop and deployment technologies to corporate or public sector organisations.

Role and Responsibilities
Lead the creation of technical pre-sales responses and own the creation of costs
Input into business case development
Host customer opportunity / strategy meetings, including presenting solutions from a commercial and business perspective
Provide technical governance of in-flight projects
Quality assure deliverables produced by team members to ensure consistency and accuracy within a single technology solution.
Identify other service and sales opportunities
Ability to lead the design and implementation of complex technical solutions
Experience in supporting infrastructure technologies
Excellent communication and consultancy skills both written and oral
Undertake individual consultancy assignments, analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data, recommending solutions
Ensure consultancy assignments are undertaken consistently and with quality, using Prince2 and Agile methodologies
Highlight all technical risks ensuring exposure to commercial loss can be minimised
Keep up to date with current and future market developments, competitors, technologies, products and strategies
Keep certificates up to date and gain additional certificates determined by the business’s priorities
Produce / update all assignment documentation
Develop relationships with partners and vendors to enhance opportunities and capabilities for the practice

Key Skills
Leadership of solution design and costing
Experience of Architecture methodologies e.g. TOGAF
Detailed product knowledge of the following technologies:
Desktop deployment experience – enterprise deployments of Windows
Desktop configuration experience (ADK, MDT, creation of Task Sequences,)
Deployment Toolset(s) – System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune
Desktop productivity suite configuration and deployment
Desktop security products knowledge – BitLocker and Microsoft Defender Suite
Directory and Network Services – creation of group policy objects for desktop operating systems
Scripting – PowerShell / VBScript
Microsoft Desktop Optimisation Pack (MDOP) – App-V / MBAM
Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
