Principal Consultant, Network/Network Security. UK based. Remote working.
We are looking for a talented Security Cleared Network/Network Security Principal Consultant with pre and post sales experience to join our client’s expanding Security team. You will need excellent routing and switching skills, ideally with Cisco Catalyst Switches and Nexus switches experience.
The successful individual will be responsible for providing high value pre-sales (where applicable) and post-sales consulting in a broad and diverse mix of enterprise-scale engagements; you will be a technology expert in the networking and security space and expected to embrace the changing technology horizon both in Industry and Public Sector.
Role:
You will be required to work as part of a design and implementation team to support the existing customer network/security infrastructure, which includes Cisco firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, ISG firewalls and Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches across the world, based in the UK.
In addition, you should have excellent understanding and experience of Cisco AnyConnect VPN with Cisco ASA’s with integration into Cisco ISE as a authentication/authorisation with certificates. Palo Alto VPN (site-to-Site) skills are a requirement to support the environment.
Routing and switching skills to help integrate the security solutions with existing network is essential.
The role will entail helping with design of new Network/Security solutions, as such you should have excellent design skills which includes but not limited to:
Attending technical workshops, High Level Designs, Detailed (low) level designs, initial support of solution and handing the solution to managed services for BAU.
Responsibilities:
Consultancy:
• Act as Design Authority for multiple, enterprise-scale Security engagements
• Develop business cases
• Produce detailed Scope of Work documentation to support competitive tenders
• Ensure a high level of quality via documentation and personal representation
• Manage change control of design(s), process related tasks and associated documentation
• Handover project initiation to consultants delivering the solution, post-sales
• Work to define services based on supplier technology and in response to the demands of the market
• Manage relationships with all parties involved in "cradle to grave" solution provision cycle
• Engage in, and manage, Customer demonstrations and Proofs of Concept
Ancillary Activities:
• Support the Solution and Infrastructure Architects to maintain quality levels
• Develop the PC profile as a ‘go to’ person for security requirement
• Maintain a highly visible profile, internally and externally (with vendors), that promotes the Security team
• Mentor other consultants
• Maintain all administrative documentation as requested
Skills Required:
• You must have good technical experience in post-sales, design & delivery in the following vendor areas:
• Cisco ASA
• Cisco Firepower, Umbrella
• Cisco AnyConnect VPN v4.5 onwards
• Cisco ISE
• Palo Alto Firewalls (PA’s)
• Juniper ISG1000’s
• Excellent Routing and switching skills and experience with Cisco Catalyst Switches and Nexus switches as a good to have
• Experience with PKI implementation for VPN’s and ISE
• Checkpoint
• Routing and switching skills that complement their Security skills.
• Multi-vendor pre-sales, design, delivery and support experience
• Proven ability in producing documentation for a technical and business audience.
• Ability to deal with sensitive customer issues.
• Ability to present large internal and external audiences.
• Leadership and organisational skills with the ability to provide technical leadership mentoring.
Training & Certification:
• SC minimum , ideally DV cleared
• CCNA minimum CCNP preferred
• Ideally Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE preferred
• Juniper ISG certification good to have but not essential
Vendor Training\Certification in at least two of the following or Equivalent:
• Cisco ASA
• Cisco Firepower
• Cisco AnyConnect VPN v4.5 onwards
• Cisco ISE
• Palo Alto Firewalls (PA’s)
• Juniper ISG1000’s

Salary – up to £75,000 + car allowance + corporate benefits
