Senior Network Engineer, InfoBlox DDI Specialist. Remote

Senior Network Engineer with the following skills: DHCP/DNS/IPAM, Firewalls, Load balancers, Time protocol, proxy and Cloud applications infrastructure management, design, and automation.

This position is part of the Infrastructure and Cloud Services team, which is responsible for establishing the architecture and design standards for global network services and products. This team focuses on the architectural integration needed to scale application services on-premises as part of a hybrid multi-cloud strategy.

This is a senior technical position for an engineering specialist in the Network Design and Engineering team. The focus of this role includes areas such as DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IP address management), load balancing, NTP (Network Time Protocol), proxies, firewalls, and security services. The specialist will develop a strategy in collaboration with business units, product teams, architecture, and design.
The role involves the integration of architecture, design, governance, and consultation to create Network Service Architectures, Designs, and Standards that align with both business and technical requirements.

The ideal candidate should possess a validated technical background and adhere to industry-standard development frameworks. This includes planning, designing, testing, implementing, operating, and optimizing network services. The candidate must also effectively participate in multi-functional meetings, clearly articulate the features and capabilities of Network Services, and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Ultimately, the goal is to deliver outcomes that are appropriate for production-level use.

•DHCP/DNS/IPAM, Firewalls, Load balancers, Time protocol, proxy and Cloud applications infrastructure management, design, and automation.
•Maintain the RIRs objects and DNS registrars DB.
•Assess, plan, design, and implementation of the infrastructure.
•Capacity planning and troubleshooting of the network applications products, infrastructure, and services.
•Monitoring and observability of the network applications products infrastructure.
•Source code management and development.
•Leverage testing environments using industry practices for pre-testing changes and proof of concept.
SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•Seniority level above 7-10 years of demonstrated ability in networking.
•Ability to architect, design, define standards, generate, and deploy blueprints of network designs.
•Proven knowledge and experience with DDI, specifically InfoBlox
•Proficient understanding of traffic patterns, packet captures and network protocols/applications (TCP/IP, HTTPS/SSL/TLS) and internet architectures.
•Knowledge and experience with RIRs (Regional Internet Registry) and DNS registrars.
•Knowledge and experience with proxies, packet capture devices, IDS/IPS and DDoS.
•Automation with Python, Ansible, terraform, GitLab pipelines using DevOps practices.
•Knowledge and experience with cloud connectivity and cloud networking constructs for at least one cloud provider - Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle
•Knowledge and experience with monitoring and observability protocols, tools, and applications.
•Handle numerous projects with contending priorities in a constantly evolving environment.
•Cultivate collaboration, advocate for documentation and knowledge sharing.
•Desirable knowledge and experience with Load balancers (F5 with iRules), Firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto or Fortinet)
•Desirable knowledge and experience with Cloudflare, Akamai, Blox One
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science in IT field and/or equivalent certifications and experience
•Solid validated knowledge and experience to deliver excellent technical results as outlined in the role summary.
•Strong character and cheerful personality for great interpersonal behaviour.
•Good negotiating and influencing skills supported by expressive oral and written communication.
•Excellent presentation skills and a solid attention to detail.
