Device Product Manager

Device Product Manager – Mobile – London

We are looking for a candidate with experience of developing and maintaining a device portfolio that interacts seamlessly with host network and the SIM to ensure the best possible end-user experience (UX). Must have experience of working in mobile devices. This role will provide any experienced Mobile product manager with a new challenge – defining a value proposition for SME and establishing the company as a market leader in the Mobile devices space.

Objectives

To successfully specify & launch new and innovative propositions and product enhancements, combining new ideas with existing capabilities into existing & new market segments.

To provide initial product definition, management and roadmaps for mobile device related products from launch and throughout the product lifecycle.

Develop and maintain a device portfolio that interacts seamlessly with host network and the SIM to ensure the best possible end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and communicate the company’s device strategy.

Agree roadmaps for their device portfolio with key OEMs and host network

Ensure that the device portfolio contributes to and enhances the overall company’s mobile proposition

Provide roadmap management of the portfolio.

Maintain recommended device list and ensure it is effectively communicated externally and internally.

Maintain and enhance device ordering proposition for the company’s channels. For direct and Channel

Defining pricing strategy in conjunction with the companies Mobile Pricing Manager

Training of internal staff and channel partners as appropriate

Providing clear market positioning, collateral and product support tools enabling channel sales, support and operations teams to clearly articulate propositions.

Competitive analysis and positioning against market alternatives.

Metrics

Revenue, margin and subscriber growth against plan

Quality of services – as defined by user experience, up-time and ease of provisioning

Accuracy and effectiveness of supporting collateral as fed back from partners

Essential Skills

Mobile device related product, technical or operational experience, including delivering or supporting new product launches

Experience of working within a Product or product related development environment

Good understanding of mobile device and network technology

Ability to understand business customer needs and to deliver easy to consume products.

Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to work in a flexible and innovative environment

Ability to lead and work well within virtual teams.

Highly Desirable skills

Delivering successful products to SMEs

Good understanding of selling through the channel

Good understanding of device related customer and channel support needs

Successful and simple-to-use Mobile Apps and/or User-interface based experience

Experience in both product marketing and product management roles

Experience of managing through the whole product lifecycle

Type of Job: Permanent

Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 + 10 % bonus + corporate benefits
