Our client is an established Value-Added Reseller (VAR) with a revenue of 3 billion, a workforce of 9,000 people and 700 + clients. They have an enviable reputation amongst customers and vendors. Their high-profile clients include companies in the media, sports, and retail sectors. The organisation has a new leadership team with ambitious and exciting growth plans.

We are recruiting for a driven and knowledgeable Security Sales Specialist. The company is expanding its Cyber Security practice and targeting corporate and mid-market clients. They want to recruit an experienced Security Sales Specialist who will collaborate with Account Managers to develop and sell a range of Cyber Security products, solutions, and services. This role will involve collaborating with both existing customers and proactively pursuing new business opportunities.

As the first security evangelist, both internally and externally, you will possess expert commercial knowledge of cybersecurity. Your role will be to enable Account Managers to effectively sell security products and solutions, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to customers.

You will be selling a select range of appliance, software & SaaS based products, the ideal candidate will have an expert current knowledge and proven multi-vendor experience within these areas with experience across a range of verticals selling at C level. Covering solutions based around endpoint, network/perimeter & virtualisation security, you must also have a demonstrable understanding of network & data security best practice, as well as up to date knowledge of IT governance risk and compliance.
You will need extensive and successful sales experience of Tier 1 Cyber Vendors such as Darktrace, Check Point, Sophos, Palo Alto, Cisco and experience with selling both cloud and on premises solutions. Plus, mature vendor relationships.
You will have the benefit of an in-house technical team to help you specify and design the right solution to match customer requirements. You will also be expected to work closely with the Business Development Managers at each manufacturer and our Distribution Partners. All our vendors are extremely supportive of our efforts, and you will have their full backing to help you succeed in this exciting new role.

The role will be reporting directly into the Sales Director and would be expected to work closely on a mutual business plan.
The successful candidate is expected to be able to travel to customer sites on a regular basis and attend the London HQ a minimum of 3 days per week.

Essential Experience & Skills to Include:
• Sales experience of Tier 1 Cyber Vendors, Darktrace, Cisco, Check Point, Sophos, Palo Alto etc.
• Experience with selling both cloud and on premises solutions
• Hunter mentality
• Excellent ‘Business Sense’ for evaluating sales opportunities in a dynamic environment.
• Solid communication and presentation skills and able to adapt these depending on the client
• Strong sales and marketing skills needs analysis, positioning, and business justification and closing.
• High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a highly professional approach
• An understanding and experience of how to promote complex technology solutions

• Solid experience working with Data and managing a CRM
• Able to work on your own and be driven to succeed
