Cyber/Endpoint Security Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our clients rapidly expanding NetSec team for a Cyber/Endpoint Security Engineer, within their UK Consultancy Practice. With a strong focus on Endpoint Management; Endpoint Protection; and Vulnerability Management solutions we are looking for someone with knowledge of Endpoint Protection concepts (AV, XDR, SIEM, SSO) and experience of Tenable; Symantec Broadcom; Tanium; Microsoft Discovery; and McAfee requiring a broad knowledge of the full functionality of the products to demonstrate key capabilities and to design and implement proof of concepts and production services. The ideal candidate will also require virtualisation experience– ideally VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V.

Role Responsibility:
• Undertake individual consultancy assignments, analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data, running assessment services, recommending solutions
• Provide SME assistance into the design and implementation of solutions
• Ensure consultancy assignments are undertaken consistently and with quality, using our client’s methodologies
• Highlight all technical risks so that our client’s exposure to commercial risk can be minimised
• Responsible for the quality of all technical deliverables produced by the team
• Attend and present at customer workshops and meetings
• Produce / update all assignment documentation
• Ensure that handover to the relevant support organisation is successfully completed
• Provide technical support as requested, for internal and external customers
• Work as part of a team on larger solutions
• Keep up to date with current and future technologies, products, and strategies
• Assist with presales technical enquiries
• Attend customer opportunity and be able to present technology solutions
• Assist with qualification of designs or opportunities
• Provide appropriate contributions to Invitations to Tender, Requests for Quote, Requests for Purchase, etc.
• Technically complete the implementation of solutions working from an approved and validated design with minimal oversight
• Attend and present at customer workshops and meetings if required
• Produce / update all assignment documentation
• Ensure that handover to the relevant support teams is successfully completed
• Provide technical support as requested
The Ideal Candidate:
• Design and Implementation experience
• General knowledge of Endpoint Protection concepts (AV, XDR, SIEM, SSO)
• Endpoint Protection experience – management and maintenance
• Vulnerability Management Lifecycle processes
• Technical knowledge of Symantec Endpoint Protection (or similar toolset e.g. McAfee, CrowdStrike, Defender)
• Technical knowledge of Tenable product suite or relevant Vulnerability vendor (e.g. Qualys)
• Product knowledge of Tanium
• Relevant vendor accreditations
Desired Skills:
• Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server knowledge
• MS Security Products – System Center Endpoint Protection
• Experience with Tenable – Tenable.sc / Tenable.io / Tenable Nessus or similar solution
• Experience with Tanium or similar solution
• Virtualisation – VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper-V
