Cloud Technical Architect, Telecoms on-premise/Cloud API/AWS/Software Development. UK, flexible working. We are recruiting for a Cloud Technical Architect for our telecoms client, who are at the forefront of innovation in the industry. You will take responsibility for defining end to end solutions that balance the needs of all stakeholders. In this role you are expected to lead collaboration between customers, key business stakeholders, and domain experts to determine an appropriate end to end solution.
This Cloud Technical Architect role is specifically to design a hybrid solution and migration path for on-premise/cloud services for customer portals, backend capabilities and APIs. These services will be enablers for one or more of the key initiatives for product propositions. This will include the design, build and maintenance of their cloud platform and services using Node.js whilst influencing future cloud strategy and technical direction for this leading telecommunications company.
You will form part of a cross functional team comprising of developers, QA, testers, business analysts, product owners and UX specialists.
Skills and experience required:
• Proven record of the development of end to end solutions, preferably with experience at a Tier 1 leader.
• Vast solution design experience within a programme of substantive technology change. You will have excellent knowledge of the entire software development life cycle and a deep understanding of architectural principles and design patterns.
• Commercial experience of designing AWS based cloud solutions and possess experience of design, build and operating of the cloud platform.
• Experience in API architecture design and possess deep knowledge of API ecosystem and best practices.
• Experience of one or more API gateways such as Apigee, KONG, IBM Api connect, layer 7, cloud API gateways.
• Experience of large-scale Software Engineering practices in multiple languages, environments and web services stacks to include, at a minimum; ES6/Node.js
• Experience of working with Agile processes and principles.
• Experience of working within an organisation that has undergone a significant digital transformation would be highly desirable.
• Experience in developing UX focused applications.
• AWS and TOGAF certification at Associate level or above.
