Cloud Solution Architect - Remote/flexible working
Our client a leading IT Services company is looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect to join their Consultancy Practice division. They are looking for an Architect who has advised customers on their cloud journey and delivered Cloud Solutions.
Our client’s Consultancy Practice brings together around 250 technology and business consultants into a single unit that is recognised by their customers and partners as the industry leader for IT infrastructure services. The Platform & Hybrid IT Line of Business is growing rapidly and seeing growth across Private & Public Cloud, Discovery, Migration and Security. This is an exciting time to join a consultancy team who are excelling in advising, designing and delivering cloud, container and security services.
•The role will be a trusted advisor with our client’s customers, taking them through a journey in a consultative approach. This will involve engaging with the customer understanding their business and technical requirements using discovery, migration and transformation frameworks to develop the business case and architecture designs.
•The Solution Architect role will engage directly with customers in shaping their strategy and defining priorities.
•Lead, own and support the pre-sales and delivery assurance of digital, technology transformation solutions and services, including responses to large scale and complex customer opportunities, including ITTs, RFPs and RFIs
•Understanding of existing and evolving standard portfolio solutions; monitor global IT developments, industry trends and competitors, to ensure the solutions appropriately exploit both current and future technologies.
•Work with services, marketing, and solutions teams on portfolio and product information launches including enablement and education for customers and employees
•Contribute to the practice strategy by suggesting new service capabilities. In particular bringing together services across the practice and contributing to marketing activities such as writing white papers.
•Develop future service offerings and value.
•Working collaboratively with SME’s and Sales teams bringing the Practices’ strategy and deals to life.
The Ideal Candidate
•Your experience in a customer-focused environment will already have given you the confidence to own and manage the scoping and definition of conceptual design by understanding and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
•Being an expert, you will have delivered end-to-end Private & Public Cloud solutions using a number of vendors including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and other Cloud platforms, as well as the use of industry leading container, orchestration, discovery and migration tools.
•You will have a professional and dynamic approach, demonstrate a clear passion for delivering Secure IT services and solutions; Business analysis experience: Able to analyse and understand the customer’s requirements and expectations and select appropriate technologies to design an innovative winning technical solution.
•You will also be experienced in leading presentations to senior management level both internally and within the client arena, ideally as part of the bid process.
•Extensive experience in IT consultancy and thought leadership
•Private & Public Cloud, Discovery, Migration & Security services
•An appreciation of IT orchestration and automation would be of advantage
•Proven experience of stakeholder management working with senior internal and customer C-level executives
•Proactive approach in building technical and professional relationships with customers, vendors, partners and internal stakeholders
•Experience in business case development including aspects of business value-add and cost savings
•Proven experience in creating services cost models with appropriate cost levers and the associated quality assurance / governance
•Ability to manage requirements through elicitation, definition, validation and end to end traceability
•Ability to interpret customers' business and technical requirements into IT services and solutions is essential
•Proven understanding of business and IT architecture frameworks and methodologies; industry recognised accreditations are a significant advantage
•Proven understanding and application of Consulting and Project Management frameworks, approaches and methodologies; industry recognised accreditations are a significant advantage
•Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; a second major European language is a significant advantage
•High standards of quality in documentation skills and presentation experience with mid to large-sized internal and external audiences
•Understanding and articulation of industry trends and potential future directions
•Understanding, adopting and enforcement of corporate governance and assurance policies and processes
•Identification, analysis and management of risks in both pre-sales and in-flight projects and programmes
