Business Development Manager

We are currently seeking a new Business Development Manager to join a rapidly expanding specialist Network and Project Management consultancy. Experience in a similar role is essential with a proven track record, an appreciation for networking technologies is advantageous. The role is split between remote based and our central London office.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with excellent communication skills and enjoy the challenge of securing new business opportunities. Collaborate well with a team of peers and can identify and nurture new relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Focused on new logos in the UK marketplace
• Developing growth strategies and plans - including new markets, growth areas, trends, and partnerships
• Work closely across stakeholders in marketing and business unit leaders
• Manage the key steps in the sales process and negotiate with key stakeholders
• Assist in developing the business sales and marketing strategy
• Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business
• Discuss and agree promotional strategy and activities with the Commercial Director
• Liaise with the Resource Team, Pre-sales, Marketing and Technical Assurance Teams as appropriate
• Attend seminars, conferences, and customer events where appropriate
• Keep abreast of trends and changes in the IT industry
• Help to plan sales and marketing campaigns

Desired Experience:

• Management and development of business and project opportunities within multiple verticals including Finance, Insurance, Media, and Telecommunications
• Development and management of high-level stakeholder relationships across all levels of personnel within high profile customers to develop a portfolio of engagements
• Management and production of bids and proposals, working alongside clients and internal technical pre-sales teams to provide accurate and detailed documentation
• Management of contractual negotiations for managed service, fixed price and time and material engagements
• An understanding of technologies including Network Engineering, Datacentre, Network Infrastructure, Telecoms and Project Management
• Ideally will have worked for an organisation that delivered IT infrastructure professional services, specifically network services
Background

• Have proven experience of working with large enterprises
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a similar role
• Experience working in a matrix management system
