We are recruiting for a fast-growing telematics company, who are looking for a Business Development Director for the EMEA region with a base location anywhere in Europe, including the UK, Germany, France. The brief is to generate growth through winning new clients for the company’s insurance telematics and data analytics services in the EMEA region, reporting to the Managing Director, EMEA Sales. Language skills useful, particularly German.

Your Accountabilities
• Investigate sales opportunities within identified target organisations in the EMEA region to reflect the company’s overall strategy and support the generation of warm leads in the right areas.
• Generate a sales pipeline, forging relationships with identified target organisations.
• Bring opportunities to closure, negotiating profitable long-term contracts.
• Deliver all revenue targets associated with the achievement of new EMEA client accounts through proactive sales strategies on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Conduct regular meetings with prospective client organisations to demonstrate our capabilities and drive the sales process forward, drawing in other members of the team as appropriate.
• Lead responses to relevant RFI and RFPs within the EMEA region ensuring that submissions are of a high quality and deadlines are always met.
• Build an extensive network of relationships within target client organisations and track the status of the relationship through the effective use of the CRM system.
• Work closely with the Client Development and Technical teams to efficiently deliver on commitments.

Job and person requirements
• A proven track record in a sales role with experience in identifying new opportunities.
• Demonstrable success in selling complex technical solutions into the insurance industry.
• An ability to build relationships, able to influence, challenge, and engage well with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation experience, both commercially and legally.
• Innovative thinker, particularly regarding approaching sales in a ‘remote’ world.
• Ambitious and driven individual who is organised with good attention to detail.
• Collaborative with experience of leading ‘virtual teams’.
• Technology ‘savvy’.
• European languages would be an advantage, particularly German.

• Location: Home based - Anywhere in Europe.
• Type of role: Permanent.
• Salary: £65- £70k base + 30k OTE (open-ended).
