AWS Principal Consultant

We are looking for an AWS Consultant with an in-depth understanding of AWS, for the Consultancy division of our IT Services client.
You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud solutions and advisory services for our client’s customers, possessing the right skills to deliver the following key outcomes: increasing business revenue, developing new opportunities, and ensuring the high delivery standards.
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and experience to support the sales, business development and delivery of key projects, build valuable relationships and develop strong capabilities through working with senior team members and talented colleagues.
You will be working alongside talented DevOps engineers solving major Cloud challenges. You will be taking ownership of two primary goals: to help our client meet & exceed infrastructure performance goals and to build and extend the platform in new ways.
You will work with Terraform, Kubernetes, Packer, Ansible, and a collection of AWS services. You will gain exposure to a fast-scaling Cloud environment where you will be able to learn while making a real impact.

Main Responsibilities
Develop and maintain mission-critical information extraction, analysis, and management systems.
Add value thru excellent delivery, enabling cost effectiveness (FinOps).
Implement streaming analysis algorithms to generate question focused data sets (QFDs).
Provide direct and responsive support for urgent analytic needs.
Participate in architecture and software development activities.
Translate loosely defined requirements into solutions.
Use open-source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project.
Use coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve a problem with a custom workflow.
Perform incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered.
Design and operate infrastructure that processes millions of transactions every day.
Continuously evaluate the team’s workflow and contribute to its improvement and automation.

Required Experience
3+ years of experience designing and operating distributed systems based on Linux
2+ year experience with AWS
1+ year experience with infrastructure-as-code, such as Terraform
Experience with scripting - Python, bash
Experience with CI / CD pipelines such as Jenkins
1+ year experience with Docker
1+ year experience with cluster orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Mesos, Nomad…)
Experience in using DevOps Tooling landscape: containers, Git, automation, security
Good knowledge of network infrastructure design & public cloud architecture
Experience in architecting and implementing multi-cloud solutions.
Proven experience in managing delivery including scope, risks, budgets and client relationships,
Experience in delivering cloud and DevOps solution part of digital transformation.
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
Experience in using DevOps Tooling landscape: containers, Git, automation, security
Professional Certification from one or more major cloud providers – preferably AWS
