DevOps Manager: Software lifecycle from release, testing, application and ongoing patch management
DevOps Manager required for telecommunications company. This is an Operations Management role supporting the company’s Hosted Telephony and Unified Communications platform. The Operations Manager will be responsible for a team of 6 DevOps Engineers, who manage the day to day running of the Broadsoft and Oracle network elements (servers, SBCs, software, devices), and technical Leads who assist with the transition of new features and services into operational support.
Suitable candidates will have experience of managing a team of DevOps Engineers/technical engineers/Software Developers and will be able to demonstrate they have managed the full software lifecycle from release, testing, application and ongoing patch management. They will have a working knowledge of Unified Communications platforms and will have led on Incident, Problem and Major Outage scenarios. This is a business-critical platform and we expect the candidate to have managed teams in a similar environment.
In addition to this, we are working towards a DevOps framework and experience of leading and transitioning a team into this model would be beneficial.
You will be a point of contact for escalations raised into the team and will be expected to assist with managing these through to resolution. The Ops Manager will also represent the team on Major Service Outage calls and will be expected to identify and drive service improvements relating to any MSO.

Main duties and Key deliverables:
Responsible for 6 Engineers (4 x Engineers, 2 x Technical Leads)
Be responsible for the progress of all incidents, problems and escalations including detailed root cause analysis upon resolution.
To be able to liaise with Product/Engineering/Commercial including third party vendors in relation to hosted products.
Improve Engineering documentation to drive efficiency and productivity.
Develop and implement service improvement measures (automation, monitoring).
Represent operations on any internal and external service reviews.
Responsible for all change management on the supported network elements.
Conduct Supplier Management analysis and act as a stakeholder when dealing with all key suppliers related to the platform.
Develop the Ops Engineers in line with company strategy and individual goals.

Salary: Circa 55k
